Daisy, Ryan and Kit
As Daisy helps Kit pack, she notices an almost empty whisky bottle. When Ryan then tells her how Kit pumped him for information about her likes and dislikes, proving he’s manipulative and not to be trusted, Daisy confronts Kit. Kit lies, making out that after Paul’s funeral, he felt the need to get drunk. Kit reveals to Lisa that they found an unsent message on her phone suggesting she wanted Joel dead. Kit demands to know where she was on the night of Joel’s murder.
Billy's Not Coping
Summer returns home to find a strange man in the flat. Billy admits he invited Wayne back after meeting him at the addicts group.
A depressed Billy confides in Summer that he’s not sure he can face today’s celebrations. Billy knocks back a whisky before heading to the pub. But as everyone watches as Paul’s ashes are released, the screen suddenly goes blank. Having pulled the lead out of the laptop, a drunk and emotional Billy declares it a farce and confesses he made a pass at Todd after Paul’s funeral. Drinking behind the factory in the bitter cold, Billy listens to voice clips of Paul. Finally his phone battery dies and Billy closes his eyes in a drunken stupor.
As Billy closes his eyes, drifting away we fear the worst. Bernie heads out into the night to look for Billy. Finding him frozen to the core, is Bernie too late?
Tim, Sally and the Teenage Mouse?
Finding spilt food in the kitchen Sally and Tim are convinced they’ve got a mouse. As Sally cleans out the cupboards, Tim bursts in, revealing he now suspects there’s mice in the garden shed
Sally and Tim survey the rucksack and realise that someone has been living in their shed. Mason watches from across the street as Tim heads to Street Cars with the rucksack. Caught red handed trying to grab his bag, Mason’s forced to explain how he became homeless. Will Tim call the police?
Having failed to find Mason a bed for the night, Tim lets Mason into No.4 and tells him he can sleep on the sofa but Sally must never find out.
Over At the Platt's
David and Max visit Lauren and tell her that she and Frankie are welcome to move in with them once they’ve finished in foster care.
David receives an email from Weatherfield Prison Services. He reaches for a letter in his back pocket but covers when Shona enters. David moans about Gail’s plan to sell the house to Carla.
Lauren thanks Roy for offering to buy her a pram but when she asks Dee-Dee to help her choose, Dee-Dee gives her short shrift.
With Shona in bed, David opens her laptop and deletes all the emails from Weatherfield prison.
Daniel and Bethany
Daniel accompanies Bethany to her hospital appointment. When he reveals that Bethany rarely leaves the flat, the nurse recommends a support group.
Bethany puts on a brave face and agrees to go to the pub with Daniel for Paul’s space launch. But she’s mortified to discover her stoma bag is leaking and hurries out.
Daniel and Bethany kiss and make up but Bethany admits she’s not ready for anything more as she’s mortified about him seeing her stoma bag.
A Couple of Things...
As Lisa struggles to buy festival tickets for her and Betsy, she receives a message summoning her to the station.
Dee-Dee breaks down and confesses to Ed that she killed Joel after finding out he was about to do a runner. When Dee-Dee asserts that she’s going to hand herself into the police, Ed’s horrified and tries to talk her out of it.
