Paul Executes His Plan

Paul asks Todd to help him end his life when the time comes. As Todd refuses, Paul accepts it’s too much to ask but explains he’s terrified of becoming a hostage inside his own body. A sympathetic Todd takes Paul to the surgery where Paul makes out he’s in great pain and needs morphine but to Todd’s relief, Dr Gaddas refuses to prescribe it. In the Rovers, Abi overhears Paul complaining to Todd that he couldn’t get a prescription for morphine and empathises. Back at the flat, Todd’s surprised when Abi arrives at Paul’s invitation, but all becomes clear when Paul asks Abi to score him some drugs. Will Abi help Paul?

Billy promises Paul he hasn’t changed his mind but is unhappy about deceiving Bernie and Gemma. Changing the subject for Summer’s benefit, they decide to matchmake Todd and Moses. Billy, Paul and Summer have Todd over for dinner. When Moses arrives on his final visit of the day, Paul invites him to join them.

Cassie Creates More Chaos

At the garage, Cassie offers Kevin her heartfelt thanks for giving her a second chance. Citing her forgiveness of Cassie, Kevin praises Abi’s ability to do right by others, regardless of her own feelings. Conflicted, Abi makes out she’s been called on a breakdown and hurries off as Cassie watches with interest. Abi meets Dean and buys some benzos, unaware of someone photographing the exchange.

Evelyn scours the internet for evidence of Terry running a puppy farm. In the precinct, Evelyn spots Terry exiting the pound shop with a tray of puppy food and decides to follow him. Terry catches Evelyn tailing him and threatens her with violence.

Evelyn and Cassie show Roy a puppy for sale online, reckoning Terry’s the unseen person holding it in the photo. Roy calls to make an inquiry and gets through to a woman called Joan who gives Roy her address in the precinct. Cassie calls on pretending she has bought a large delivery of dog food and Joan sends her away after Cassie divulged Terry’s address. Deciding to pay Terry a visit, Cassie climbs in through the downstairs window of a house into a room full of crates of puppies and a bag of cash nearby. As Terry enters with a baseball bat, he’s distracted by a noise outside. Cassie stuffs the cash into her pockets and is gathering up the puppies to make her escape when Terry enters the room and surveys the open cages. Will Cassie manage to rescue the puppies and get away from Terry? Craig calls at the cafe with news that Terry’s been seriously assaulted after Evelyn was seen arguing with him outside his house. A guilty Cassie watches as Evelyn is getting into Craig’s police car.

Craig calls at the café and assures Evelyn that she’s no longer under suspicion. Cassie hides her unease as Craig informs them that they’re still looking for Terry’s attacker and that same person stole a large amount of cash. At No.9, Hope catches Cassie with a bag full of cash who offers her a slice of the money if in return she keeps her gob shut. Will Hope keep Cassie’s secret?

Something is in the Air...

Dev announces to Asha his plans for a special birthday meal for her and Aadi. Asha hasn’t the heart to tell him she’d rather do something else. Asha persuades Aadi to attend Dev’s birthday lunch and Aadi suggests an after-party at his flat. Aadi invites Amy to the birthday lunch and Asha and Nina urge Aadi to declare his feelings for her.
As the Alahan twins plan their birthday bash, Asha’s curious to receive a call from university. Asha tells Amy someone reported Isla for having an inappropriate interest in her and she’s got a fair idea of who it was. Asha accuses Nina of reporting Isla out of jealousy. Were Asha’s suspicions of Nina right? Aadi finds a simmering Nina in Victoria Gardens and they swap accounts of their rows with Amy and Asha. When Aadi compliments Nina, they suddenly lean in for a kiss.

In the cafe, Bobby meets Amy and asks Aadi if she’s single. When Aadi tells Bobby she’s off the market, Amy flies off the handle saying she’ll be giving his birthday a miss. Has Aadi ruined his chance with Amy?

Aadi calls at No.7 to grab a quiet word with Nina and they both agree to never mention their kiss again. Whilst Dev serves their birthday lunch, Asha unwraps her present from Aadi and is shocked to find a beautiful bracelet. Noting a guilty look, Asha demands Aadi explain himself where Aadi and Nina are forced to admit they shared a kiss. Later, Asha lets herself into Aadi’s flat to find him dozing on the sofa, hurls the bracelet at him and asserts that she never wants to see him again and storms out. Unbeknown to Asha, Aadi lies unconscious in his flat with the broken carbon monoxide alarm on the side. Will they realise before it’s too late?

Ed Get Stuck in the Middle

Damon hands Ed an envelope of cash to buy supplies for the bar renovation, oblivious to the temptation he’s placing in his path. Dee-Dee informs Damon that her dad’s a gambling addict and cannot be subjected to any undue stress while working for him. Thinking of Damon’s wad of cash, Damon panics. Will Ed give in to temptation?
When Damon finally answers Harvey’s non-stop calls, he threatens to kill Harvey but kicks himself upon realising Sarah’s overheard.
In the café, Ed does his best to persuade Sarah that Damon’s a changed man and is trying to turn his life around. Sarah approaches Damon and after admitting that she may have been quick to judge, suggests they meet for a drink later. As a thrilled Damon heads down the street, he’s horrified to discover that his car has been crushed.

Bibs and Bobs

Caitlin, the social worker, calls at No.5 and assures a frustrated Gemma and Chesney that things are moving in the right direction, but reports of this nature take time.

Carla’s deeply unimpressed when she has to cut short a call with an important client because Bobby’s been causing mayhem by distracting the machinists from their work.
