Tracy and Tommy Try to Score

As Sally and Tim vie for Tommy’s attention, Tracy grabs her moment with Tommy, telling him to call in the shop with his invoice as Steve’s due back tomorrow and it’ll be their last chance to spend time together. Steve arrives home early. Preparing a French buffet, he tells Ken and Amy how he intends to impress Tracy and put the zing back in their marriage.
Steve sets the table for a romantic lunch with Tracy but his plans are ruined when she texts to say she’s stuck at the flower market.
However in the flower shop, Tracy turns the sign to ‘closed’ as she kisses Tommy. Finding the shop locked, Steve shouts he knows she’s in there. As Tracy gingerly opens the door, with Tommy behind her, Steve’s gobsmacked.

Adam Tries to Exorcise His Damon

It’s Sarah’s birthday and Adam’s seething as he clocks Sarah helping Damon move his things into the flat. Adam asks Dee-Dee and Joel about a firearms case he’s taken on and wonders if they’ve dealt with anything similar. As Damon hands out shots to Audrey, Gail, Bethany, Nick and Sarah and raises a toast to Sarah’s birthday, Adam shoots him daggers. But when Dee-Dee and Joel arrive at the bistro to tell him that they might have cracked his case, is Adam’s luck about to change?
Urged on by Damon, Sarah suggests to Adam it’s time they discussed their divorce. Struggling to hide his emotions, Adam tells Sarah he wants the flat sold as he doesn’t want Damon living in what was once his home. Adam visits Harvey and runs through his grounds for appeal, pointing out that the only way to be sure of success is if they can pin Natasha’s murder on someone else. Harvey later calls Adam, telling him a man called John Perry is willing to confess to Natasha’s murder. Adam tracks down John to Weatherfield General. He’s horrified to realise he’s a cancer patient.
When Sarah tells Adam she’s happy to sell the flat as she and Damon are going to buy a house with a garden, Adam seethes. On the way to the police station, John goes over his confession with Adam.

Bethany Dishes to Chit-Chat!

As Daniel gets ready for work, Bethany casually asks him about the cat-fishing between Daisy and Ryan. Daniel refuses to discuss it leaving Bethany further intrigued.
The English lesson finished, Bethany pumps Lauren for gossip about Daisy and Ryan. Lauren’s only too happy to spill, unaware Bethany is recording their conversation.
Daniel tells Lauren he’s impressed with her work and she’s ready to sit her GCSE. But Lauren’s gutted to see the exam registration fee is £148. When Daniel answers a call on Bethany’s phone from the editor of Chit-Chat Magazine, Bethany is forced to admit she’s submitted an article about him, Daisy and Ryan. Daniel’s gobsmacked.

Dee-Dee Has Damon Troubles!

Dee-Dee tells Ed to make a list of everything that was destroyed in the fire for the insurance company. Damon advises him to submit an inflated claim but Ed won’t hear of it. However when Ed goes to the bar, Damon grabs the form.
When Dee-Dee complains that she’s snowed under with work, Joel offers to meet a new client on her behalf and pass on notes. Joel meets up with Dee-Dee’s client in the bistro but they’re interrupted by the arrival of Emily who’s clearly angry. In a panic, Joel steers Emily out. Toyah watches, intrigued, wondering who this woman is!
Meanwhile Dee-Dee tears a strip off Damon for lying on Ed’s insurance forms. However when Damon alludes to the fact she too has put her neck on the line for her Dad, Dee-Dee’s worried.

Simon's Slippery Slope

Simon arrives for work hungover. Pointing out he’s still drunk, Nick sends him home. In the Rovers, a tipsy Simon orders another pint.
Realising Simon has the hangover from hell, Leanne covers with Nick, telling Simon to take the day off but admitting she’s worried and reckons he’s drinking too much. Bobby tells Nina and Summer he plans to throw a party to cheer Simon up. When he asks them to invite Lauren, they guess correctly that he fancies her.
Simon wakes up on the sofa with a banging headache. As Bobby clears away the empties, Simon surreptitiously takes a swig of vodka. Back at home Nick tells Toyah he needs her help shopping and asks Simon to drive Sam to his chess competition. But as they set off Simon loses control of the car on a bend and crashes into a road sign. In a panic, Simon orders Sam out of the car and tells him to run. Simon admits to Leanne that he pranged her car but when she insists they report it to the police, Simon refuses and admits he was over the drink drive limit. Leanne’s horrified.
Nick and Toyah return from their shopping trip and admire the engagement ring Nick’s chosen for Leanne.
