Craig Whitely Craig Whitely
Chalkie Whitely's and Phyllis Pearce's drum playing grandson. Whilst his father Bob was away at sea, Craig lived with his grandfather, watched over with an eagle eye by his maternal grandmother Phyllis. He moved into No9 with Chalkie when Chalkie's house in Viaduct Street was being demolished. When Bob moved to Australia he took Craig with him and Chalkie was heartbroken, but winning a five-horse accumulator gave him the fare to Australia, where he settled with his family.
