Phil Moss

Marion Willis' ex-boyfriend, the son of Marion's former landlady. Phil had almost asked Marion to marry him, but he was a soldier in Northern Ireland, and stopped writing to her during his next tour of duty. Marion assumed it was over and soon after met Eddie Yeats. After they had got engaged, Phil re-appeared, keen to take up where they had left off; Eddie suspended their engagement whilst Marion considered her future, but in the end she chose Eddie.
