Jake Armstrong

Jake is the biological son of Izzy Armstrong and Gary Windass but Tina McIntyre carried him as a surrogate. She gave birth 2 months early so baby Jake was in an incubator for some weeks before being allowed to come home. Tina bonded quickly with the baby after he had a breathing problem and surgery as the doctors decided that breast feeding would be better for him. She decided not to hand over the baby to Izzy and Gary and to call him Joe after her late father. A few weeks later, after much angst and aggro, Izzy volunteered to give up the baby for good to Tina and that made Tina realize who the true mother of Jake really was and handed the baby back to Gary and Izzy rather than put the child through a prolonged custody battle.
